The Walkera 5G4 is designed with the beginner in mind for indoor use or outside on very calm days. Even a complete newcomer to helicopter flying can fly this heli straight out the box. This is the first of a new breed of helis using 2.4GHz transmitter/receiver unit this means no more interference EVER due to strong anti-interference 2.4GHz technology, quicker response time to heli making it easier to fly. No long antena infact the 2.4ghz antena is only 4 inch long making it better for flying heli indoors. This is the most stable responsive heli we have ever seen stright out the box, this technology is the future of RC heli's. The Lama 5G4 is also very easy to operate with everything required included, it has great stability and very simple controls. This RC Helicopter has 2 main rotors that are co-axial and contra-rotating on the single shaft. This torque canceling design makes the rc heli very stable and easy to fly for beginners. This helicopter is a great learning tool to master the skills of radio controlled helicopters before moving onto more complex RC helicopters.
Once your skills have been developed the model can be flown virtually anywhere, indoor or outdoor in calm conditions.

The helicopter is only 14” long and weighs only 185 grams. It  is complete and ready to fly and includes a 4 channel twin stick UK spec 2.4GHz transmitter on mode 2 (throttle left) with an LED voltage indicator. A 3-in-1 receiving circuit, capable of servo adjustment and built-in gyro sensitivity adjustment, offering you complete control of fine parameters

The transmitter radio, electronics, motors and servos are hobby quality parts that will provide many hours of fun. The transmitter is supplied with 8 x AA dry cell batteries to get you flying.

The model is powered by the latest technology single cell high power lithium polymer 3.7v 1000mah battery 3.7V supplied with a charger to suit.

2.4GHz Transmitter/Receiver

WHAT IS 2.4GHZ TECHNOLOGY

Operating at 2.4GHz puts the radio control out of the frequency range of any 'noise' caused by the other electronic components - such as the motor, speed controller and any metal to metal noise - eliminating interference and glitching that can affect a 35mhz system. Obviously, the last thing you need when piloting an RC helicopter is anything that might cause loss of control or a crash (you may not be aware if your neighbour is also flying on the same frequency as you in his back garden, for example). The built-in security of the 2.4G system allows you to maintain radio control at all times, ensuring your safety and that of others around you.Instead of transmitting on one channel at a time, both the transmitter and receiver are constantly hopping from channel to channel - at over 1000 times a second! When you initialy 'pair' your transmitter to your receiver, they initiate the synchronised sequence of channel hopping.With 2.4GHz effectively 40 channels are available and the sets automatically set themselves to an unused frequency when switched on. Operation is constantly self monitored and the set will move to an unused frequency if any interference is detected. Because 2.4G RC systems work on higher frequency short wave length, the transmitter antenna is only about 15cm long and flexible - avoiding bends and breakages that can occur with traditional 35Mhz telescopic aerials! The receiver antenna is much shorter too - allowing for much neater installation of the radio gear in the helicopter.
